Everyday I'm battling with chapped lips, that's why I need lip balm so much. Lip balm is definitely a staple product in my daily routine. Actually, I don't feel like putting anything onto my lips because it feels strange to have something on my lips, but due to my chapped lips so I try to bear with lip balm and now I can't live a day without lip balm, LOL.
I bought this lip balm in Metro PIM for Rp 130k, it wasn't on purpose, my mom just wanted to buy the multi-corrective cream and the sun block, but they were having discount for minimum purchase, so I just add this lip balm, to reach the minimum purchase, yes woman and discount are can't be separated, more over my current lip balm at that time was almost empty. So, why not give it a try?
As you can see this lip balm claims that "temporarily protects and helps soothe dry lips. Helps shield lips from the drying effects of wind and cold weather. Apply librally, and allow an excess of the balm to be absorbed."
The main ingridient of this lip balm is petrolatum, I find this lip balm to be overwhelming, it really feels greasy on my lips and I absolutely can see how shiny my lips are while using this lip balm. So, if you don't like the shiny or glossy effect you may not like this lip balm. The staying power of this lip balm is around 6hrs I assume, if I don't eat or drink anything, but when I drink or eat something with this lip balm on, it won't easily dissappeared but the staying power is less than 6hrs. Pretty impressive right.
It came in transparent paste, you have to squeeze the bottle to get the product, not my favorite kind of lip balm because it's not as practical as the stick one, the applicator also just flat, so it's hard to apply directly from the tube, I have to squeeze it out to my fingers and then rub the product on to my lips, and of course it makes my finger greasy as well. It has taste just slightly, maybe just the petrolatum, but I don't like it. Actually I've never like any lip balm's taste. But it has no scent at all according to my nose.
Do I like this lip balm? Not really, and with the price I think I'd beter go for another lip balm, it's definitely not cheap. And for me it doesn't work that well, I still experience chapped lips even I've used this lip balm, and also when I use it before my lipstick, lipstick really tends to make my lips chapped and I don't feel this lip balm help me much about that.
This is just my opinion, I might not like it because it doesn't work really well on my lips, but everyone is different, my mom loves it so much, so let me know if you like it or not, or if you want to give it a try.
